Changing of the Guard

Buckingham Palace in London

One of the daily activities of Buckingham Palace that most get the attention and curiosity of tourists is the spectacle called the Changing of the Guard.

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British Royal Family since 1837, when Queen Victoria moved here three weeks after her coronation.

Currently Queen Elizabeth II lives here.

This changing of the guard takes place at 11:30am at the main entrance of the palace.

This process takes about 45 minutes and is accompanied by military music played by a band of soldiers.

In the Changing of the Guard you will watch British royal guards in a music parade, all dressed in red jacket and black pants. Very interesting show indeed.
